The natural way
A Family History
Karintha Orchards originally known as Licciardello and
co was founded in the locality of Newlands in 1935 by
Antonio Licciardello.
The first crops grown on the farm were potato's however after a few years they moved
on from potato cultivation to orcharding and the first fruit tree's planted in 1938, were
Granny Smiths and Nectarines.
Over the generations the company has expanded embracing new varieties and
entering the export market.
Today the family owned orchard is run by John Licciardello and his sons Anthony and
Richard.
